A legacy of generosity.
A future of exceptional care.

For 40 years, the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital (STEGH) Foundation has worked alongside a generous community to strengthen health care in our region. Together with donors, volunteers, hospital leadership, and partners across St. Thomas and Elgin County, millions of dollars have been invested in equipment, technology, and programs that transform patient care, right here at home.

As we mark this milestone, we celebrate the impact our community has made and the future we are building, together.

1996–1998

CT Scan Suite

Donors helped raise $1.23 million to create a dedicated space for advanced diagnostic imaging, supporting faster and more accurate diagnosis.

This was further elevated with $1.5 million raised between 2002-2003 allowing STEGH to introduce advanced CT imaging technology, strengthening the hospital’s ability to diagnose illness and trauma.

2004–2005

Community generosity raised $1 million to invest in hospital equipment and initiatives that support skilled care teams and enhance patient care.

Community generosity doesn’t sit in an account,
it shows up at the bedside.
It funds the MRI scans that provide earlier diagnoses, the hospital beds that support a growing population, and the emergency equipment that saves lives when minutes matter.
