Serving on the STEGH Foundation Board of Directors or one of its committees is an opportunity to lead with purpose. Our volunteer leaders bring professional expertise, community insight, and a shared commitment to advancing healthcare in St. Thomas and Elgin County. As a Board or Committee member, you’ll help guide strategy, strengthen community trust, and ensure that every donor dollar delivers meaningful results.
We welcome passionate individuals with diverse perspectives and leadership experience — including professionals in law, finance, healthcare, and business — who want to make a difference. Whether you’re an established leader or an emerging professional, your skills and experience can help drive lasting impact for patients and families in our community. We are seeking passionate individuals who bring diverse perspectives, professional expertise, and a commitment to strengthening local healthcare. We’re particularly interested in individuals with backgrounds in law, finance, and healthcare, as these skills help support effective governance and community impact.
At the same time, we value the unique insights and lived experiences that every volunteer brings. Whether you’re an established leader or an emerging professional, if you believe in the power of community and want to make a difference, we encourage you to apply.
Board and Committee members provide governance oversight, participate in strategic planning, and serve as ambassadors for the Foundation. You’ll collaborate with hospital partners, community stakeholders, and fellow volunteers to champion fundraising initiatives and inspire generosity that strengthens local healthcare.
These are volunteer roles with real impact. Members typically serve a three-year term and contribute 1–2 hours per month for Board meetings, 1–2 hours for Committee meetings, and 1–3 hours for preparation or Foundation activities outside scheduled meetings. Members also take part in Foundation events and initiatives throughout the year.
